Untouchable Accuracy

On the evening of December 24th, 2022 our machine shop burned to the ground. This destroyed the one of a kind mold lathe that Veral built, the 80 ton press he made for stamping and forming hardness tester parts and sprue plates, all the specialized tools used in production, nearly every hand tool Veral has collected in his 81 years (and he has built 7 houses so that’s a lot of tools), a huge stock of materials and supplies, along with a large selection of power tools (milling machines, grinders, drill presses, etc). Needless to say, this tragedy has brought our mold and tester production to a complete, and, sadly, permanent halt. Unfortunately, all of the testers that survived the flames have already been sold. We still have an unlimited supply of the 3rd edition of Veral’s book, “Jacketed Performance with Cast Bullets”. We also have a bunch of LBT lapping compound and lapping plates, and most calibers of push thru and throat slugs are still available. In order to recoup some of our losses and generate some much needed capital (there was no insurance policy in place) we will need to raise the prices on some of these items, so please check the “Product” page for these changes.

If you are among the many customers who have a mold order pending, please give us a call. Several orders that were in progress in the shop were lost in the fire and, consequently, we have no record of them. We sincerely apologize to all of you who did not receive your mold. It saddens and frustrates us deeply that we are unable to fulfill your order as expected, however, we have every intention to reimburse all of you as soon as humanly possible. Please be patient with us as we need to set in motion another avenue of income to make this happen. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.

For 40 years LBT has been the world’s king of bullet lube. We will be repairing the bullet lube making equipment and developing a new, and even higher performance bullet lube as soon as possible. Also, on the brighter side, this calamity has opened up more time for Veral to finish the 4th edition of “Jacketed Performance with Cast Bullets”! Keep an eye on the website for a progress update on both the new book and the lube availability. And, of course,Veral will still be available for product support and to answer any cast bullet questions you may have, as usual.
